







Agus Putu Suyadnya
Agus Putu Suyadnya is an Indonesian artist based in Yogyakarta, whose work is a profound reflection of lived experiences. Through his art, Agus opens a conversation about the meaning of existence as humans by incorporating content that triggers our awareness of ourselves, such as technology and nature. By using realist techniques with a surrealist approach, Agus explores his poetic imagination.
Having completed a BFA from the Yogyakarta Indonesian Institute of Art, Agus has exhibited internationally. His solo exhibitions including 2018 “Pemburu Cahaya”, (Peaceful Seeker#2), 6 in 1 Balebajar Sangkring program, Balebanjar Sangkring, Yogyakarta; 2014 “Suburb Stories”, Lestari Grill & Pasta and Art Space Seminyak, Bali; and 2011 “Karakteristik Wayang Sebagai Sumber Inspirasi Dalam Lukisan”, Indonesia Institute of The Art, Yogyakarta. In addition, he has participated in group exhibitions such as “Wonderland: Curious Nature”, New York Botanical Garden (NYBG), New York, and “Xavier Art Fest 2024”, with Fuse Art Project, Xavier School San Juan Philippines, Philippines, in 2024. His most recent series features figures in space suits, which emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic as symbols of isolation, self, and the search for meaning. Through his dreamlike compositions, Agus transforms art into a space for imagination, simulation, and contemplation, inviting viewers to engage in conversations about existence and humanity.
